Emmanuel Feeds is an annual event organized by the Missions & Outreach Team. The whole church comes together to package food for needy families. This event is designed for all family members to participate, and it is so much fun to be involved with the children in this activity!
We traditionally meet after second service, have lunch and then prepare packaged meals. All food packaged is donated to the Memphis Food Bank for local distribution and our own Emmanuel Food Pantry.
In less than 2 hours, we prepare over 17,000 packaged meals.
We partner with Meals of Hope which helps source the raw materials and provide the expertise – we provide the money for the food and the labor!! Meals of Hope is a nonprofit organization 501(c)(3) that is committed to bringing people together to fight the hunger epidemic. Founded in 2007, Meals of Hope has packed over 80 million meals that have been donated to communities in need across the nation and around the world.
Every dollar you donate will provide a nourishing meal to a family of four!
