Emmanuel Feeds + 130 Volunteers = 20,000 Meals
Emmanuel Feeds is the whole community coming together to package food for needy families. Our 5th annual Emmanuel Feeds event will be held on April 2nd in our church gym. Our goal this year is to package 20,000 macaroni and cheese meals!
This is how it works…
On April 2nd, our EUMC congregation will come together in the gym to have a light lunch after the 11 am service, be trained on how to assemble macaroni and cheese packages, and then head to the assembly lines for the actual packaging.
If you participated over the last several years you already know that it’s a wonderful time to enjoy fellowship with your church family and friends while helping the food insecure families around our Memphis community and the people in Sierra Leon.
We need 130 volunteers and are still in need of donations. If you would like to volunteer or donate, call the church office (901)754-6548.
Make plans to bring your entire family, as this is a fun activity for all ages, and invite your friends and neighbors who are interested in community outreach.
We are again partnering with Memphis Feeds Initiative and Outreach Inc. to assemble nutrient-enriched dry food packages for distribution to the MidSouth Food Bank. We will be donating some packages to Southern Eye Clinic to assist in their mission to Sierra Leon.
Emmanuel Feeds is sponsored by the Unity and Christians Under Construction Adult Sunday School Classes.
