Our Commitment to
Intentional Discipleship Growth
To fulfill the Church’s mission of making disciples of Jesus Christ, we commit to developing and sustaining an intentional pathway of discipleship for those following Jesus through Emmanuel UMC.
While everyone is welcome to participate in the life of the church at the level of his/her choice, we invite all to join fully in the whole Way of Discipleship.
Growing as a disciple is a lifelong process and all of us have places where we can improve. So, regardless of where you find yourself on the pathway, know that your next step will lead you on a life-giving journey as you grow in the grace and love of Jesus.
Why is participation in this pathway
so significant?
We believe engagement in this pathway is vital because it is a means of grace through which God works in our lives so that:
- We grow in Christian maturity and are perfected in love
- We fulfill our God-given purpose and contribute to transforming our world
- We are aware of how we are mutually dependent one another to grow
- We are obedient to the commandments to love God and neighbor
