We offer many opportunities for adults to find a place to connect at Emmanuel.
Our Fall 2018 schedule for Adult Education and Spiritual Formation includes Bible Studies, Prayer Groups, and other Small Groups.
The Nativity of the Trinity: a study of Gospel Parallels Review and the Seven Ecumenical Councils
Sunday 4-5 pm will be taught by Wayne Hamm
All are welcome to join this in depth study of how we came to be the church. You will learn the history of the Christian church.
Disciple Fast Track: Bible study for busy lives
Sunday 5-6:30 pm will be taught by Rev. Wade Cox and Sue Stevens
A 24 week study of the Old and New Testaments. There is a DVD component and study guide. The Disciple series has abbreviated the original Disciple study to this new format. Participants will read 3-5 chapters of the Bible a day with minimal homework each day. The class is limited to 12 participants.
Invitation to Romans: An 8 week Disciple Bible Study
Tuesday 5:30-7 pm (NEW TIME) will be taught by Rev. Linda Gabriel
This is an 8 week study for women. There is a DVD component and study guide. Participants will learn about Paul’s emphasis on communal salvation, the centrality of god’s righteousness and the relationship between Jews and Gentiles and the relationship of both to God.
Jesus and the Gospels
Wednesday 9:30-12 pm will be taught by Sally Coleman, Ginna Domm, and Carolyn Cochran
This is a study for women and men to experience the life and grace of Jesus as depicted in the Christian Gospels. New members are always welcome to join this on-going class.
Men’s Prayer Breakfast and Bible Study
Thursday 7:15-9 am
Following the Men’s Prayer Breakfast, Wayne Hamm will teach “The Primitive Church: The early church to the dawn of the Reformation: Rediscovering the church Fathers, who they were and how they changed the church.”
Ladies’ Bible Study
Thursday 10-11 am
Rev. Wade Cox will teach this class on the Genesis: chapters 1-4
Wednesday’s At Emmanuel
Dinner serving is 5:30-6:10 pm and Adult programs are 6:20-7:20 pm
