Come celebrate Valentine’s Day with us at the 18th Annual Youth Dinner and Silent Auction on Saturday, February 10. Our theme this year is “Valentine’s Day: Eat, Bid, and Be Mine.”
If you’ve never been to the Youth Dinner and Auction, plan to be there. It’s so much fun for everyone.
The Youth hosts the Dinner and Silent Auction to raise funds for their missions and summer trips. Even if you can’t attend or choose to attend and not bid, you can make a donation to the Youth. Any donations are greatly appreciated.
This year our dinner will be small plates/tapas served from different stations with salad and dessert served at the table.
Menu:
BBQ sliders
Baked Potato Bar
Pasta: Baked Ziti and Chicken Alfredo
Shrimp Cocktail
Cheese and Fresh Fruit
Tossed Salad
Cheesecake with Chocolate or Raspberry Topping
The Masters of Ceremonies, James Fyke and Brian Rena, are planning great entertainment for us.
You will have the opportunity to purchase a Valentine Gram for someone special.
This year we are providing a new event for your children while you are eating and bidding. The Kindergarten through 5th grade will have dinner and a movie in the Commons. And a nursery will be available for the babies through 5 year olds.
If you or someone you know or your Sunday School class wants to donate something for the auction, we will be accepting new products, trips/condos/vacation packages, gift certificates, gift baskets, etc. until the week before the event. Please fill out a donation form when dropping off items in the church office.
Donations
So many great items are donated to the silent auction. We are auctioning off 2 trips for two people each to South Africa for a Photo Safari. This trip is an amazing opportunity. The starting bid will be $2,500 ($5950 value) and EUMC Youth will receive 50% of the final bid.

When planning your safari, remember we can assist you with all your travel arrangements, including flights, transfers, side trips, excursions as well as visits to Cape Town, Victoria Falls and other nearby destinations. Also, consider a layover at the Country Manor en route to the Game Lodge. The Country Manor is set in beautiful landscaped gardens and a natural wetland area where springbok, nyala, zebra, impala and blesbuck roam. Relax and enjoy this special experience from the viewing deck. – Zulu Nyala Group
