Safe Sanctuaries

Safe SanctuariesSafe Sanctuaries is a program designed to create congregations that are safe places where children, youth and elders may experience the abiding love of God and fellowship within the community of faith.

Our congregation’s purpose for establishing this Safe Sanctuaries Policy and accompanying procedures is to demonstrate our absolute and unwavering commitment to the physical safety and spiritual growth of all of our children and youth.

Emmanuel’s Safe Sanctuaries committee requires annual review for staff and volunteers. The policy is designed for the benefit, safety and protection of not only our children and youth, but also our teachers, coaches, counselors and leaders of those children and youth, and the ministry of EUMC.
