5th Annual Women’s Retreat 2018

The Women’s Ministry of Emmanuel UMC is planning the next Women’s Retreat for Saturday, January 27, 2018, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This will be the 5th Annual Women’s Retreat.

Although we have gone off-site for the other retreats, this one will be at Emmanuel. We are hoping the women that haven’t been able to attend an overnight retreat will be able to come for the day.

Our theme is “Keep Calm and Connect with God, Self and Others.”Women's Retreat Keep Calm and Connect with God, Self and Others

We will focus on becoming more aware of who we are as God created us, so we can be more comfortable with ourselves and others and have a better relationship with God.

Our keynote speaker is Meredith Day, a minister, who will explain the enneagram, which can provide a pathway to greater personal awareness.

The enneagram can give you insight into your personality and why you think, feel and act in relation to God, self, and others.

What is my potential and what is holding me back?
Why do I seem to self-sabotage my own good intentions so often?
How can I create the changes I dream of in myself and my life?

If you’ve ever wondered about some of these questions, then you will find our speaker and her topic extremely interesting.

We will provide each woman at the retreat with a copy of the book, “The Road Back to You: An Enneagram Journey to Self Discovery”, by Ian Morgan Cron and Suzanne Stabile, to take home and continue your journey.

If you would like to explore the Enneagram before the retreat, you can fill it out at exploreyourtype.com and come with questions for our speaker. The report shines a light on both your potential and your challenges.

And there’s more…

Our speaker is only one part of our Women’s Retreat. We have many activities planned from which you can choose to participate.

We will have a mission project, crafts, line dancing, painting, and lots more. You will have an opportunity to visit with women you know and meet new friends, too.

The painting class is the only activity not included in the retreat fee and is optional. We will be painting a snowman with Made by Mindy, and the cost is an additional $25.

Your fee includes lunch, the book, crafts, a t-shirt, and other costs of planning and providing such a great retreat for our Women of Emmanuel. Please invite your friends and family that you want to bring with you.

Registration Options: (choose one)

  1. Retreat Registration: Online payment of $40 plus fees for full day activities, lunch, and t-shirt.
  2. Retreat Registration & painting class: Online payment of $65 plus fees for full day activities, lunch, t-shirt, and optional paint class included.

We hope every woman will come and grow, share, fellowship and connect with self and others, but, most importantly, connect with God on a new level of spiritual discovery.

Renew your mind, soul, and spirit

on the road that will lead you to your best self.
